Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), IISc engages in reflective, service-oriented, and intellectually enriching activities inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
Weekly Meetings & Study Circles
Weekly meetings form the heart of VSC activities. Members come together to read, reflect, and discuss the works of Swami Vivekananda and related philosophical texts, followed by open discussions.
Meeting notes and reflections are occasionally documented for continuity and for the benefit of new members.
Book Distribution Events
As part of National Youth Day and other occasions, VSC conducts book distribution drives across the IISc campus to spread inspiring literature on Swami Vivekananda, Indian philosophy, and values.

Open day volunteering
As part of the Open Day activities at IISc, volunteers from the Vivekananda Study Circle will take the children of mess and housekeeping staff to various interesting labs. The aim is to help them explore the campus, become familiar with different places, and witness simple experiments that are suitable and engaging for their age group.

Cloth Collection & Distribution Drives
VSC organizes cloth collection and distribution drives to support underprivileged communities. These initiatives are entirely student-led and emphasize compassion, dignity, and service. We collect the clothes from the Student and staff community and distribute it to people in need both inside and outside the campus.
